Greetings! I live in Salt Lake City and I have two small leopard tortoises that are about 2-3 months old.

I have them inside right now, but once they are big enough, we will be moving them into an outdoor enclosure that is 8x16 feet. Is that size good, or will we need to expand it eventually?

For the winter, I'd like to eventually keep them in a heated greenhouse, maybe 8x8'? Is it okay to keep them in a smaller greenhouse just for winter months?

Opinions will vary on this topic, and mine is that the 8 * 16 should be fine for a few years, but once they are adults they would do better an area that is two or three times that size.

The 8*8 greenhouse would, again, be ok for a few years, but I think they would do better in something larger if they are going to be spending an extended period of time in there. 8*8 is the size of my winter house, but they only spend nights inside there. I am able to open it up everyday so they have full access to the yard.
