Sadly Bo passed away in her sleep yesterday morning💔she was unfortunately taking a rapid decline despite us trying everything, we were in the process of discussing the kindest next steps with the vet and booking her in, but ultimately she decided her own fate like the strong willed girl she was. I’m trying to take solace in the fact that she’s finally at peace, fly high sweet girl🐍💚

…she already wasn’t on top form so we really didn’t want to put her through an operation, we were advised to monitor her, if the lump stayed the same(which it did) and she was eating drinking etc, then she was best left be…

…however unfortunately she took a pretty rapid decline over the last few weeks, two more feeds came up, which we admittedly feel guilty for even trying now because of the damage the regurgitation causes..😞

..we were just desperate for her to keep one down and gain some strength, ultimately I think the regurgitation took her in the end, but she definitely had something underlying that would’ve took her eventually💔she’d not shed for a long time before that first one came up and wasn’t as active as we’d of liked her. I don’t think there was anything that could have been done to save her unfortunately😔

I recently made some different care/housing threads! It’s been pointed out the mods may potentially mistake them for duplicates, I do apologise if that’s the case! My thinking was, having them separate allow for new folks to ask age&species specific questions and might be easier for them to navigate🙂

Hey Michal_K,
I was wondering, what happened to Dino?
Hi Carol. I am new and looking into getting a Russian Tortoise. I have been looking and doing my research to make sure I have the appropriate set up for when I get one. I have heard that you breed them. I live in Pennsylvania is shipping possible here and what is the cost? I am not ready to get one yet but I am working on gathering information and learning all I can. When would you have some available?
I need to remove my 75 pound Sulcata tortoise from Sacramento California to my daughters house in Pensacola Florida. Any suggestions on me transporting him.?

Hello! Can you make a post in the Adoptions section? More users will see it there. And be careful with new members with recent registrations and post - sometimes people want a free tortoise to sell it next day.
do you still have Russian tortoise hatchlings. I am looking to adopt one if possible???

Hi there. Sorry, I didn't get this until now.
Yes, I have several Russian tortoise hatchlings. They are still quite small, but will be ready to ship in October.
