I know some disagree with handling. Well I actually cuddle with Prince. We enjoy a snack on the couch and I will lay down for a lil cat nap. Prince will climb up my chest and burrow his head in my neck. Today he was making a purr motor boat clicking kinda noise. Never heard before. I'd whisper and he'd do it again. ??? Opinions???

Aww that’s absolutely adorable!!! I think that’s so sweet to cuddle with your prince. How did you get prince to like climbing on your chest and burrowing his head in your neck?? I want to do that with my baby!!! I think he’s telling you that he loves you!

I believe in handling. It makes your tortoise used to being touched, which will help if ever needs to see a vet or when your just checking him over.
He's not telling you he loves you though, that's a human thing not a tortoise thing, but it's nice to think that as long as you know it's not true.
My first leopard loved sitting on my shoulder and snuggling in my neck. Not sure why, but it seems to be a favorite place of theirs.

I have handled him since day one and I talk to him every day. Just relaxing on couch I put him on my stomach, talk to him and he practically runs to my face then starts to burrow. I tell people and they think I'm nuts haha

Yeah he's used to me handling him but I don't carry him around and stuff he pretty much explores and does his own thing. If I speak tho he responds and I know its noise not my voice. I'd just never heard him make that noise before. It was out of the ordinary.
