hello all,

After wanting an Aldabra basically my whole life, I finally bought one earlier this month! I have a ~7-8 inch yearling. It is from the Rodriguez islands and is settling in well.

Well, after already falling in love with it, I have decided that it already needs a buddy. After reading various posts here, YouTube videos, and others it seems that Aldabras seem to like other aldabras for company.
Currently, the only aldabras I can find for sale are from the tortoise town website. They say they have 2 6 month olds available for $3,000. However, they won’t provide pictures of the ones available unless I pay $4000+ shipping. Seems odd, so I am going to keep looking.

I am coming here to see if anyone knows any reputable places that have current aldabras for sale? Or if anyone has had positive experiences with tortoise town. Their Facebook reviews are hit or miss, so not reassuring enough for me to purchase.

Attached is a picture of my current Aldabra!

I located in central/West Texas.
Sam said he doesn’t have any currently. He said he may have some in 8 weeks or so. If nothing else comes available, I’ll get them from him then.

I have some aldabras available! Please feel free to send me a message! They are approximately 3-4 months old. I’m happy to send you photos of every angle known to man, take measurements (I don’t currently have any measurements handy!), and I ship from Oklahoma via Reptiles Express.

Also happy to meet you somewhere if you prefer.

And... they won’t cost you $3000, let alone $4000.

Thank you all!

Well, just received Aldabra number 2 from BevSmith! She was amazing and super easy to talk with! Highly recommend!

As for the aldabras, I’m going to keep them separated for a month or two to make sure neither of them get sick.

So pumped!

How do I add pictures where they pop up without having to click them?

I got two from Bev and it appears by the timing that they are from the same hatch. I’d love to keep in touch and be able to compare growth in the future. I got them in June at just 3 weeks.

Oooo perfect!
So hatch date was sometime in May? I was unsure of exact age.

Yours were hatched from Bob’s female in Oklahoma. The little guy that @mcollins received is an import. :)
