Yes. It’s a hard thick rubber mat and mulch.

I hear you. And I can tell from the picture it does look like that. It’s actually typically packed up more around the edges with mulch and rocks and has a step like rock in the inside. I was in the middle of working on his home while the photo was grabbed showing my mom the snow.. obviously not...

Hey just saw this ! I’m thought the answers were over. First of all, since I get your annoyance with people owning large tropical reptiles in colder places, we are moving to Florida in a few months. ( just to let you know) But to answer your questions.. ( we actually spoke and exchanged photos...

This is great. I’m happy you set up a fictional situation. It seems too high risk for us now that I hear they chew on them sometimes. I’d love to see that video 😂

I’m assuming I’m going to be put down here but I have to ask. Does anyone here have a Sulcata sharing a home / yard with a rabbit ? I know they live safely alone but I’ve also seen photos of bunnies with tortoises living together. My kids and I would love another pet and our Chello ( 7 year old...

Thanks all. I will not allow him to do this again. Still curious why he would- but who knows. His home has a doggie door so the warmest spot is 87 to 90. The closer he is to the flaps of the door, the cooler it is. I can close him in if needed. Pictured is his hut ( which is buried and...

Chose to stay out at night

Chello is a 49 pound Male Sulcata who is 6 years old. He has a nice insulated enclosure with a doggie door. It usually stays 70 to 90 degrees inside, the closer to the door being cooler at night here in VA. last night he chose to stay outside to sleep. It was a low of 51 and he was dug down...

How much dry food or greens ?

How do I know how much Mizurri food to feed. My guy is about 40 pounds. We are buying greens also since his yard is under snow right now 😬. ( he’s in a heated home of course ).

    Video surveillance ideas

Hey all. I have a underground, insulated hut for my 6 year old Sulcata, Chello. I’m use Govee to monitor temps but the fact that the house is kind of underground makes it hard to keep internet connection for the Ap to show me temps. My questions: 1. Does anyone have experience using Eero...

High temp- where he sleeps 90 to 93. Otherside 83 to 90. Humidity is 50 to 80 in there now that is warm here in VA. Outside it’s 75 to 85, ( prob 90 in direct sun) and humid.
