    Female trying to mate

She has calmed down a lot now, but never did find any eggs. I caught her digging with her back legs again this past week, though, but she isn't pacing or climbing anymore. If I do separate them, would you suggest taking her out and leaving him in the original enclosure and then putting her back...

    Female trying to mate

My female (Sasha-6") has been trying to mount my male (Theo-4.75") for the past couple months. Theo has shown no interest and is not aggressive at all. Sasha is constantly finding him in his hide and tries to ram him out. A couple weeks ago, I caught her digging a test nest and noticed that for...

Is it normal for my female to always follow the male around?

That could very well be. The person I got him from bought him at Petco a year ago and they said he was 5 months at the time...highly unlikely considering they import them from the wild, so no telling how old he was at the time.

    Hello from Lopez Island

Thanks for the welcomes! Here is Theo eating yams for a snack...he absolutely LOVES them! (the white on his nose is from calcium) I can't get the guy to eat a dandelion, though. Sasha eats about anything and especially loves romaine hearts. I had to throw in a picture of Suki sunbathing, too...

Is it normal for my female to always follow the male around?

Here are a couple pics of them this morning after breakfast. I think Theo is enjoying her company...he is just a little shy compared to her. He has actually been eating more and more active since we got Sasha...so that's a good thing. (This is a first uploading photos, so hopefully it works) :)

I knew Theo was a little stud muffin! He is playing hard to get, though, if that is the case.

    Hello from Whidbey Island

I'm on Lopez, but I have two russians. I'm not sure what the Hermans need as far as heat and moisture. I have a playpen outside for my torts on warm days, but otherwise they are kept indoors. I would suggest netting of some sort so the eagles and coons don't get in there.

Is it normal for my female to always follow the male around?

I'm new to this forum, so I'm sorry if this question (or one similar) has been posted before. I have had my male, Theo, since February and just got my female, Sasha, about 2 weeks ago. (Definitely sure of the sexes) Theo is not aggressive at all toward her and just does his normal thing, but...
