Hi just wondering on your best suggestion for marginated tortoise substrate? Also when cleaning his tortoise table I've spotted some tiny spider like creatures I think come from the dried grass/hay..I've only seen a couple and they don't seem to affect him, but if anyone's got any advice on...

Thankyou, he definitely knows when he needs to use bathroom lol, but we have to work round his body clock. Awe I'm really glad you have a understanding of tortoise routines,I'm sure people think I'm mad, I need to get a video of him at toilet time. Wow hope mines calmed down by 22 👍 x

Lol, my dog hasn't used puppy pads for 14 years, I only buy them for my tortoise, he's so demanding, I work full time but luckily live with my retired mum, so she has tortoise toilet duties through the week..she always wanted to be a grandma 😊

Just looking for a bit of advice (reassurance), for the past few months my 3 year old marginated tortoise has been showing his genitalia when going to the toilet. He won't mess in his tortoise table and bangs on glass till I get him out and put him on a puppy pad, which is fine as he's done this...

Thankyou, appreciate you advice, as I live in the UK my tortoise has a couple of hours a week when sunny on the lawn at most, I was just curious about animals such has hedgehogs and squirrels that we can't keep out, will they carry bacteria thanks

I'm not hibernating my tortoise this year however I wondered if i should be worming him, he only goes on the lawn and my dog is always up to date with worming. The only other animals in my garden are hedgehogs. Any advice thankyou

It's only just gone 2, lives on a tortoise table, but has some how become toilet trained so will knock when it wants to come out, costs me a fortune on puppy pads lol, goes to toilet minute I put it on pad

My tortoise has just turned 2, it's a marginated tortoise and has all of a sudden decided to bite my fingers and toes when it gets chance, does anybody know why it's started doing this or any ways to prevent it? I just don't want ut biting my young nieces ..tia

Hi everyone, just wondering if my marginated tortoise who is 18 month old is a reasonable weight of 185g. It seems to be happy but see so many random weight charts, I'm not sure which ones to follow TIA guys
