Question on grasses/weeds for my baby leopard

I've searched the forum and read so many articles, but nothing really covers what I need to know. I have a rather overgrown backyard, lots of grass and weeds of various varieties. No treatments, just plain ol' random Texas weeds and grass. I have no idea what type most of it is, or if it's safe to let give my little one to eat. Most of it isn't very descriptive. The one I was able to look up is wood sorrel, and it's not safe to eat. Any apps or anything to help me figure it out? My breeder told me that I could just "set it somewhere by itself and if the tortoise eats it then it's safe" which is obviously the most ridiculous advice I've hear so far. Thoughts? I'll post to some pictures of some the options out there later on.

This is a safe place to start with decideing what to feed. My Leopard likes- Plantain Weed, Dandelion leaves and flowers, rose of sharon leaves and flowers, and honeysuckle. He will not touch my bermuda grass and will occasionally eat upuntia cactus. Also what enclosure do you you have-pictures please cause heat and humidity are key. also add photos of yours. Her is my guy after a little overnight escape into the main yard.

Wow. Sounds like you bought a tortoise from the wrong breeder.

I don't recognize any of those as items to feed to a tortoise. You will need to get each of those ID'd before letting the tortoise have access to it.

I use plantnet.com. It usually gets them. You can also take samples to the local plant nerd at a garden center near you. They can usually ID them on sight.

Also, regular leopards often refuse grass, but this depends on their genetics. If they do choose to eat it, it will not hurt them.
