1 1/2 year Eastern hermann Eyes Cloudy and closed..

Hello everyone about a week ago my wife noticed that the tortoise was starting to get cloudy eyes and recently we woke up and all of a sudden his left eye was swollen shut and he can only open his right eye a little bit for the last two nights we've been doing carrots soaks and warm water soaks his eyes are still irritated but he's able to open his one eye that wasn't they're still very cloudy does anybody have any other suggestions on what we can try? Should we use eye drops? Any suggestions Appreciated

Hi welcome. To get the best help experienced keepers here will want to know details about your tortoise and set up. Age, enclosure size, temps and humidity etc.

3FT X 3FT ENCLOSURE Basking temp 87 to 95 .. cool are 70-75 Uvb and basking lights about 12-14 inches above area. When i get home tonight i will try and post photos of his eye.

I would recommend using Neo-Poly-Dex Veterinary Ophthalmic drops. Put one drop in each eye and one drop in each nostril twice a day for about 10 days. The downside is that you need a prescription from a vet to get them. However here is a link to those drops:
