Wait it out a little longer and I’ll know for sure..
A better photo of ignis’ tail.
In a perfect world one of them, at least, would be a female. [emoji38]
I am looking for opinions on the sex of two roughly 3.5 inch Red cheek mud turtles. I can obviously tell the difference when they are full grown but I’m having a hard time telling, but I think they might be both males. Then I start seeing a lot of differences in the shell shape though, and...
Just got a new little one today
Little one is happy and seems healthy. Pretty hungry already. I just couldn’t resist, he/she is a neat one. Once she gets a little bigger I’ll be able to tell the sex. I’m hoping it’s a female but either way I’m happy.

Thanks for that. I’ve only owned this species for about a year so all the information is helpful and very intriguing! I’ve always been wary with what I feed them, but continuously giving them Mazuri is not ideal. Today they ate cooked Maine Lobster and loved it. I’ll have to incorporate more...
Hello my name is Cullin, ME resident. I rarely will ever post a thread but I figured I would do my part and introduce myself. I own 3 Kinosternon s. Cruentatum. Basically I am here doing some research and maybe asking a question now and then. Thanks for reading
