this female do all the mating behaviour with a male !!!! the female is up and the male is down they are my tortoise any one knows why ? i couldn't take the all scene because the camera wasn't with me

the egyptian family is getting bigger now I have six Egyptian tortoises

I have male Egyptian tortoise that seem less active at all time , My female is rather active, but my male seems content to stay buried under the substrate. When I dig him out, he looks great and he even feeds once he's out, but the next day he's back underground. and there is no signs for illness .

my :tort: always pee (urinate) on its food :confused: and eat it:eek: the enclosure is very wide and have many places to do it :rolleyes: but he always do it in the food bowl :mad: he did it every single time when he wants to eat he eats very small amount and then climbed the bowl and pee and...

he have this two tortoises and don't know it's type and i don't know too because in egypt we have 3 types only (graeca , egyptian , sulcata) can you help please

today in Cairo Egypt is the first day for high temperature it's 36 c =almost 97 f my tortoises do aestivate now and show no moves K and it's dry outside too how to increase humidity in the enclosure ? they have hiding places but the substrate is too dry (sand & peat-moss) and the humidity rate...

why the male is doing this ? the female sleeps in the corner without burring herself
