I only let them mingle when supervised. I just like how it seems to help the leopard become less shy around people.

A few days now. I didn't want to introduce them too early in case the leopard might be sick. But they both have a clean bill of health now and like to share basking spots that we have for them on our floor( they have tanks but we just like to give them plenty of space in the day time).

I've noticed that interacting with our friendly sulcata in front of the leopard tortoise seems to help the leopard be more friendly. I think it's a monkey see monkey do thing

Ever since i introduced the new leopard to Gurdy the sulcata they have been inseparable. Anyone else find there sulcatas being fascinated by a leopard?

Update. We took our sulcata to see Dr. Mertz in Waymouth. She has a clean bill of health and even her poo looked good. Dr. Mertz was fantastic and I recommend him to anyone with tortoises in MA. I live in the upper cape and it was WELL worth the drive and the money

Yeah they stay apart :) Especially since the sulcata is 9 inches and the Leopard is only 6. But what are good humidity levels for the leopard. I was thinking 60 would be good. Some sites say keep them dry dry dry wile others suggest a bit of moisture. I was thinking 60 on the hygrometer...

I'd say it's overkill. I used to have a basking bulb for my 6'' rf and she would bask untill I got her a good ceramic heat emmitter. Now she avoids even her mild UVB light and skootches up nice and close to her heat emitter instead.
