    Untreated top soil

Hi everyone. Could you advise without judging pls. We get untreated top soil for our tortoise but we are finding it hard to boil it as it is not warm enough to get the soil dry and it will get mouldy. If untreated do we need to boil it? If so, how do you do it so it doesn’t get mouldy?

    Ate miracle gro potting mix

I turned around for two seconds to weed a plant and found my 3-year-old Russian tortoise eating miracle gro potting mix. He took between one and three bites of dirt and may or may not have eaten perlite pellet(s). I’m really worried but it doesn’t have any sort of insecticide or weed killer—...
