I usually soak at around 95 degrees. Is there any benefit to doing a cooler soak (70s/80s) durung extreme heat periods? My Russian hate soaks anyway I assume he’d really hate a cooler one, but would there be any benefit to it?
I think high 80s is best temperature for soaking. The POBT is usually listed as high 80*s to low 90*s for reptiles. I wouldn't force an animal to soak in 70* water, but I can see benefit in providing them the opportunity in self soaking in cooler water during the hottest part of the year. 95* is warmer than I would soak.
