105 yr old yellowfoot

So I went to our local peatland today to get some feeder mice. Their 105 year old pet yellow foot tortoise was missing from its pin. When I got up to the register, there it was with a balloon tied to it munching on some dog biscuits.

They have another one that is 46 yrs old I think. But I couldn't find that one today. They both look pretty good for pet store mascots.

I don't think it will make another 105 on the cold slick floor of a pet store.

I don't know how they know the age. This is the first time I've seen it on the floor. I thought they just had them in the back when I didn't see them in their pen. I wish they were for sale because I would buy them.

That is fricken awesome....love the balloon...I wonder if they tied the ballon to him to keep an eye on where the tort is while wondering around?....kinda like an orange flag on bike...lol

That tort sure does not look like it has missed a meal either....lovely lovely tort...
