2008 Eggs!

My 24 year old plus 3 toed box turtle Clyde has been restless lately and I have found her numerous times digging on the floor of her enclosure with her back legs. Each time I would take her out and put her in an aquarium with warm soil in hopes she would dig her nest and lay eggs. But nothing!

So tonight I dug a hole for her and stuck her butt in it. That did the trick! She dug her nest and laid 3 eggs pictured below. They should hatch in a few months in the incubator.

Ahhh congrats! Im pulling my Threetoeds up out of hibernation this weekend. I hope I get some successful breeding as well. I have 2.4 adults and another couple of unsexed young ones.
