A couple questions

I have a baby sulcata and I've gotten some conflicting advice, so I just want to clear things up hopefully.

First question, I have a cave thing in the enclosure for Wilson bc I heard/read they like to have a dark place to go. But today a guy at a pet store who owns older sulcata a told me that having a hide spot isn't good bc when they get older it will promote them digging

I've actually heard just the opposite from a few members here. If they DON'T have somewhere they can amble into then they start digging.

First, I would probably not listen to any pet store. They are for the most part stuck on the old ways, which, also for the most part are wrong and or bad. Second, like stated. If they are going to dig, then they will whether they have a hide or not. It is best to give them a hide. BTW, have you check out Toms great threads below in my post? They are great for raising a healthy, smooth sulcata.

That's what I thought. Also, this is probably going to sound weird, but how often should I be feeding him? I'm in the process of trying to switch him to hays and grasses so I have plenty of hay around. So I guess I mean, how often should I be giving him the other stuff, like lettuces and greens, etc?

I've tried finding the threads but I'm using the phone app, so I'm not sure if they just don't come up on here or if I'm looking in the wrong spot ha.
