I'm in Ohio also. Since I'm not entirely sure where Dublin is, I have no idea if you are close or far from me though!...lol I'd love to have a larger tortoise but living in Ohio I have always dismissed the idea. What are your plans for when he is bigger?

If you have the means ($) and a yard, any tortoise can live anywhere. just have to build a heated outdoor tort house for the winter months.

Wellington- we're actually moving to st. Louis in a few weeks and he'll have a gigantic yard all to himself. We're going to built him a gardren bed sort of enclosure full of edible plants and grasses. When he's bigger (we might be living in Florida at that point; bring on the aldabras!) We might keep him out all the time.
