I took my baby sulcata outside for the first time today and he/she loved it!!! I still haven't came up with a name for my little tort yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to let you guys know!! Also, does he look good/healthy? I've only had him since Wednesday.

How old is your baby? It looks like he's going to have a great life with you. I do see some beginning signs of pyramiding. You need to make sure he has about 80% humidity in his enclosure. Nice pics!:D

A couple of your pics looks like very slight pyramiding. Then the other pics don't. Sometimes it's the pics. However, make sure his care has 80% humidity with temps no lower then 80. Toms threads are below in my post. Read and follow them and he will stay nice and smooth. BTW, he is a nice looking sully. I bet he loved being outside.

We thought also that he had some slight pyramiding when we got him [the lady mentioned that the 'bumps' were what she liked about them], but he is smooth from a side and top view so I'm honestly not sure if he's pyramiding or not. We have him in a better environment now than what she had him in. His substrate consisted of those rabbit pellets when we got him [I immediately switched it out for cypress mulch], but now we have him in a larger enclosure with a top soil/peat moss mixture as his substrate with sphagnum moss in his hide. His temperatures are right where they should be, but we won't know the humidity until our gauge comes in today.
