Hello....

I recently got 2 new turtles..a ttbt and an ornate...

the ornate is all over the vivarium exploring and climbing, however the ttbt is just hiding under the log, she has emerged to eat also she only has one eye. My 1st ttbt is under her log a lot and I have had her for many years...I am just wondering if this is their normal behavior...

could be, all of my box turtles have different personalities. Some are just more outgoing than others. As long as the more outgoing one isn't dominating the shy turtle, they should be fine.

shes in a brand new place with a new turtle friend id expect her to be a little shy at first but also it may just be her personality as long as she is healthy i would learn to appretiate her differancefrom the others : )

Usually ttbt are pretty outgoing, but sometimes the babies are a little shyer. As long as he's eating, I wouldn't worry too much.
