Im rescue/adopting a 9-10 year old red foot in the new year and I'm having trouble finding proper diet information. Everywhere I look online is just saying what to feed juveniles.
The people I am getting her from told me that they feed her a mainly romaine lettuce and they add a mix of other fruit and veg throughout the week(apple, pear, strawberry, mango, banana, mushroom, bell pepper, tomato, zucchini) and they also offer small amounts of cat food a few times a week.
Is this a suitable diet for an adult? I keep reading that romaine is not the best for them. What else could I offer her?
I want her to have the best diet possible and I am finding such mixed information online.
I live in southern Alberta so it is too cold most of the year to grow my own food so ill have to be able to get everything from the grocery store.
