I haven't been on the forum that much lately, been getting ready for egg season. Here's a cool little series of my girl from this morning. I haven't made up my mind wether I'm going to try and breed her this year or just wait one more year. She is my favorite albino turtle, really fun to work with.

Certainly a Unique looking tort. Im not a huge fan of the red Albino eyes, however her shell, wow it is really nice looking! It looks "antique" if that makes sense anyway :p

Thanks! I have posted her a couple times. I try not to bother her that much but she's strong and doesn't mind being photographed. Here's a couple pics I posted before, I think.

Thanks! I have a lot of interesting animals, it's my job. I just picked up a really cool Albino eastern tiger salamander, too.

With these albinos, they can't be in the sun, right? Then, are they in an enclosure w/o UV lighting? If so, how do they fair health wise?

Actually, albino turtles do just fine in the sun, no difference at all. I have several hundred albino turtles that live out side in the full sun 365 days a year. They don't have skin, eye, health, reproductive or feeding issues, at all! I have never understood why so many people think that. She lives in a 6' WL tortoise tub with multiple hide and temperature gradients and two 4' UVB bulbs. She uses all of them and her water area with no issue. I have never had a albino turtle have a single problem with sunlight, ever. She acts like any normal eastern, just with beautiful eyes. Lol!

I've never seen an albino boxie before!
She is absolutely incredible.

Have you noticed any problems with her eyes? I've heard albino animals usually have eye problems.

Lol! Read the post before yours. She does the same as a normal EBT.
