~ Yes, no injuries. When they were released, they acted as if nothing happened. We had some concerns about possible fertility levels or egg volume as laying season was nearing, however the season was typical and very productive.

~ That tree was very special to us, the wing span was enormous and provided massive shade. It is actually half in the river and half on land. The wind generated from the river flow is incredible, that combined with the awesome shade was very unique.

Will that tree be near/part of the new enclosure?
~ Yes is the short answer, without posting the plot plan it is hard to understand. Basically the property consist of several acres, including a small island. One of the sides is totally bordered by a river and the other three sides are bordered by land. The three sides bordered by land are going to have a concrete wall and the side on the river we have something different. The property has several very large mature trees and our current plans is to include them so our tortoises can have the shade benefits, etc.
