* Thank you, he has grown very well, however in all honesty he is on the smaller side as far as overall growth is concerned compared to others we have kept back.
Such a determined look on his face in the pic where he looks like he is marching over to say "hey, you, camera man, look at me" LOL. He's just not grow as fast as the others, because he wants to keep his care easy for you. You know, having to pick him up and all to keep him clean. You know, he doesn't want to out grow that attention.

* That is one way we heat the barn. Especially when we have a need to keep a specific area warm. Another way we use is by a forced air propane heater that produces up to 60,000 BTU's. We heard them up into the barn, by carrots and treats, then lock them in for the night when the temps are forecasted to drop below 60f. Some exceptions, when a female shows indicators that she is going to lay eggs that night we allow her to complete the nesting process. Our weather here in SW Florida is very accommodating during the winter months, rarely does it get really cold!
* That picture is of a female that is recovering from medical treatment and she is being kept warm as a precautionary. During her initial medical examination the tests showed that she is full of eggs and we are trying to keep her extra comfortable.

Ok. Because I know a fella who locks his Sulcata's in for the winter even thought they do not hibernate. Because it is to cold.
