You've got to be kidding me!!! It was all the two of us could do to lift them up onto the 5 gallon bucket! But, of course, you're right. It would have been nice to see the underside.

Hah! Easier said than done. You must not have ever had to deal with a large tortoise. First of all, the legs really get in the way. There is no "roll them over" about it. The only way you can get them past their legs is to stand them up on their tail end. To be perfectly honest with you, we didn't think about it. I'm kicking myself now.

Yvonne, I noticed you have your pig blankets mounted just a bit above the floor surface, what is the reason for that, wondering if I should do the same ?

I thought it would be a good idea to keep them up off the floor so the pee could dry out under them. And that part is a good idea...however, it leaves space for all the bugs to congregate and in that case, it wasn't a good idea!
