Hiiiii!
How is everyone doing?
anyone asleep yet?, or almost about to do it?
My little ones are just about to go into hibernation...
They barely come out every 3, or 4 days... soon they will just sleep deeply.
I just wanted to say goodnight to everyone :)
but... Ill still be around, I wont be missing a thing!
also I wanted to hope everyone sweet dreams, and I wish to see everyone back next spring, happy and healthy! :)
cheers!! :D

Mine still keeps busy....it's really hot out here in LA again. She may be preparing to hibernate because she's digging like crazy. I think she's having a ball because the rain from previous months made the soil softer and it's easier for her to dig... :)

All my boxies are dug under now and I haven't seen them for over a week. I'm gathering as many leaves as I can now to keep adding to the mound that they're under. Very scary for me as this is the first time that these juvies are hibernating.
I know your're not talking about boxies....but that's all I have to hibernate. :D

Fernando is still up and awake. He goes out every morning to eat, he just doesn't stay as long as before. I do have him in his enclosure outside and it has heat and a pig blanket so I don't think he's going to hibernate this year, but we'll see. I'm afraid to hibernate him since last year he had a URI when he came out of hibernation. :D Terry, yours do o.k. even when it snows there?

Yes they do fine in the Snow. But this year I'm leaving out a bunch of juveniles, and it will be their first time to hibernate outside, so I'm really nervous about it.

Dont be nervous !
They will do what they have to...
People usually recommends not to hibernate DTs in their first year..
I always let them do what they have to, and feel like doing. I mean... they do it in the wild!
I have never experienced a problem :) ...
Im sure your boxies will be just fine and confortable.
