Just wanted to share this pic. We planted lots of natural things for the babies and mallow is definitely one of the favorites!

I wanna thank everyone for all the suggestions. Still struggling with grass... Just wont grow. Gonna try starting it in containers and then transplanting in clumps.

This coming winter you will see that mallow grows much better in the winter. I still have a few sprigs hanging on, but its mostly dried up and died off here. My tortoises all get an all you can eat buffet of it for about four or five months every year. It's starts to sprout like crazy as soon as the rains come in November or December and continues until it starts to get warmer and drier in late March or April. Even if I water and tend to it, it still dies off in the summer.
