Another substrate question

Hi guys,

I've been using a mixture of "bed-a-beast" and play sand for almost a year now. I've liked it and i think Blazer has too, but i've had a hard time keeping moisture in it. It dries out to fast, also I believe they stopped selling it in this area. I figured this would be a good chance for me to try something else out. Maybe a soil mixture, or peat moss.. I was hopping some one could give me a suggestion that you've liked and holds moisture pretty good.

Also I'm planning on building a new substrate, a two level 3 bin enclosure. I'll keep you guys posted

I don't know what "bump anyone" means, but to answer your question I use and really like cypress mulch...

I'm another advocate for cypress mulch. Either that or the fine grade of orchid bark.

Does anyone use just straight organic soil for their sulcatas? When they are grown and live out side they are prett much on dirt and grass

I think any of these suggestions are great. See what you can find in your area, what is affordable, and try it out for yourself. Best wishes.
