I took in a pair of what I thought were ornate box turtles yesterday. But when I compare them with the little male ornate I'm nursing back to health, they are quite a bit different. Their shell pattern seems to be a mixture of eastern/ornate, and they are a bit bigger than my ornate:

Without seeing plastron pictures :p They look like Ornate/Three-toed hybrids to me. How many rear claws do they have?

They have 4 claws. This is the best I can do. They're pretty shy:

Yup going by pattern, shape, color (the whole package) :D

Do their vertebral scutes have keels?
