Hi, I’ve been prescribed a set of 6 injections for my 1 and a half year old Russian tortoise, who is 130 grams I think the vet said. She is eating and is active but have seen bubbles from her nose and vet suspects upper respiratory infection. He did not say wether or not the injections should be intramuscular or subcutaneous. It is a tiny insulin-like needle which from the demonstration he gave me seemed like it was subcutaneous but as there was so much to ask I forgot to ask this question. I am looking for general advice from anyone who has had to give antibiotics injections to their tortoise any help or advice is appreciated thank you

IM , you can also give it behind the elbow …….. if it's ceftazidime i'd use the first method …. baytril I've always given like this or behind the elbow , but I do believe sq is also fine for it also …...
