I have recently started letting my tortoise live outside. Tonight I went to go check on her and I found a lot of ants around her. What are some safe ways to get the ants out without harming her?
Can they kill torts, most ants here are harmless... We don't have "fire ants", is removing them a must?Flood the enclosure, or shop vac them suckers out . Dawn dish soap and water then flood them out with a lot of water . Then when everything is dry put down diatomaceous earth inside and outside the enclosure . Thats the only way I have had any luck . Bring your tortoise inside away from the ants they can kill your tort .
We have harmless antsDepends on what type of ants, the age/size of tort......
