Are all woods safe?

I saw this at the store today and thought it would be a good addition in my tortoise's home, but not sure if all woods are safe for tortoises - it doesn't say the specific wood on the packaging or description online. Not sure if he'd chew on it. Do you think this would be safe to put in his house?

I’m guessing that this wooden log “hide” is probably perfectly fine for your tort’s enclosure. Although the type of wood isnt stated, it is marketed for use by pets - and one would HOPE that the folks promoting this would be smart enough to not use toxic components.

Unlike dogs or hamsters or other chewing rodents - i personally havent seen a tortise chewing on a hard piece of dried dead wood.

You could be 100% safe and not use, but I’m guessing it would be fine.
