Basking spot directly under heat source reaches temperatures in the subject line. Ambient temps during day range from 80°f to 90°f.
Great, thank youYes that's fine. Tortoises will generally move elsewhere when they've had enough amount of overhead heat. The basking bulb is there, mimicking the sun, to allow the tortoise to re-up on loss heat throughout the day. It's not something they'll spend the majority of their time inside the basking spot unless the enclosure's ambient temperature levels are too low.
