This week my partner suprised me and bought home 2 1month old spurthighs (Greeks) drom one of his customers houses, she breeds them.
I was over the moon! I have experience with older torts, I have 4 hermanns ages 3-5.
They are ot all in the same table and iam not mixing them.
What I need to know is what do I differently for my babies??
I have posted a picture of them both in my hand next to a tea light candle!! Thanks

Aww, they are adorable! Did you give the a warm soak as soon as you got them? That's the first thing. Second, what kind of setup do you have for them? Do you have uvb lighting? Is the weather still warm where you are to let them get natural sun for at least an hour? DON'T let them out of your sight outside for even a second. Birds will pick them up before you could run to them. Humidity, what do you plan to do about providing these babies with adequate humidity? Even though I don't own Greeks, all babies all need almost the same care. Also, check the search for Greeks and you'll get a good idea on their diet needs.

Thank you! They are on soil in a tort table, they have a heat lamp and a strip uv light (repti glo) they had a soak straight away and have had one everyday, they are eating dandelion leaves with nutrobol, how do I keep up the humidity sufficiently? Iv never had such young ones before I want to get it right!

Also no we are in the UK, its been soggy as hell! If the sun comes out ill sit with them outside but it may be quite cold for them?

As babies, I like to soak them for 20-30 minutes twice daily: once in the morning, and once in the evening. Since you have an open top tort table with all the lights on it, I think you should get a fogger or mister for his hide. Keep the hide at about 90 degrees F, and moist, not wet. This is very difficult because of the layout you have. But, if you can cover the table 3/4 the way with foil or wood or glass, then you'll be able to keep in the heat and the humidity. I want to refer you to Tom's threads on sulcata and Leo care sheets because he has a closed chamber system that's great for any baby tort. Of course, temp and humidity differs from species to species, but generally, baby care is almost the same (except diet) no matter what specie you have. This way, you'll get a better idea of the kind of setup you should have.

They are very cute..upon reading some care sheets. You need to have your babies in a setup with temps at 80*f and 70% humidity. Dont let that temp fall below 80*f

Brill I will start with their soaks right away. Ill read up like you said, would they be better in a viv? I know they are evil but for babies is it better for the humidity levels?
