Hi all, I know there are a bunch of threads on baking, boiling and freezing eco earth, but I can't find the answer I want. I'm wondering if the bricks of eco earth can be baked as is, before "hydrating" them. Do you have to literally wet them and then spread it all out on a cookie sheet and bake it? All I can think of is what a mess that is going to make. As for boiling it, are we talking hydrating it with boiling water, or literally putting a brick in a huge vat of boiling water? Thanks for any info.

Now, to save money though. Once you see bugs, which will be a lot ombré then if you don't bake it, then you can still bake it or boil it . This way you never have to buy new. I actually would recommend pouring boiling water over it so your not putting urine and poopy coir in your oven or a large pot. The boiling water will help a lot too.
