Bean the redfoot baby

Bean arrived yesterday! She was energetic right out of the box, had a nice, long soak, and ate her first meal of hibiscus leaves and melon.

Sorry for the picture quality. I don't have a camera, just my phone.

Then, earlier this morning, I fed her again, to see if I was feeding her enough...

She ate about 1/3 of that in 20 minutes, so I guess now I know.

I've decided that Bean is the best tortoise ever. She's so funny to watch. And she eats right out of my hand.

There's some white discoloration on the bottom of her shell. I think it might be from where the egg sac used to be?
