Big snapper

I was on the way home yesterday & caught this monster crossing the road. I haven't seen one this big in a long time. Snappers are my favorite reptile. Of course it wasnt without a heart stopping snap ?

Oh I attempted it, but the twisted jack in the box wasnt having none of that. I measured the stick I had beside it & was around 17"+/- shell length though.

Good save. Glad you got to it before it was hit by a car

It would be great if we could tell how old that one is. It's probably seen quite a bit in its lifetime.
