I have female 3 toed box. Here for the last week or so I have noticed that her right eye has been getting puffy and having trouble opening. I have soaked her regularly in a partial erythromycin soak for a week, Adjusted humidity levels, Changed the bedding, and have done the turtle eye drops. Nothing is helping. She shares her enclosure with two other box turtles another female and a male. They are perfectly happy and healthy no problems. Any thoughts or advice would be helpful. I just want to see if there is anything else I'm not thinking of before I take her to the vet. Here are some pics before and after the eye. puffy eyes are usually a vitamin A deficiency. What's the diet like? You can try to soak it in baby food carrots soaks.

in my case with an eastern box, mine got irritated eyes because of the CFL UVB bulb i was using. also i think i had it a lil bit too close. i have switched to a tube, moved it higher and was much better.

I would think vitamin deficiency or damage from a light would effect both eyes, no? Injury seems possible. Yvonne is good with eyes.
