I'm working on creating a larger enclosure for my sulcata. I planning on placing some potted plants inside the enclosure with him. I have been doing some research on safe plants to add mostly on www.africantortoise.com. There they state that Kalanchoe is good for edible landscaping. while doing a search I found the Desert Rose Cactus (Kalanchoe Thyrsiflora). I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular cactus or know if it is safe for sulcata's to eat. I am new to the hobby/lifestyle. We have had our sulcata for about a month. He is approximately 4 inches. Any information will be appreciated.

Emysemys-Yvonne sent me a great link to a forum thread about edible and toxic landscaping. I printed it off and jeep it in my purse so I can reference it when I go to the greenhouse. I don't remember the name of the tread, but if you PM her I am sure she will share it again.

Good luck!
