Carrot Soaks?

As a newbie, I've seen these mentioned several times but I don't know the reason behind them. Why do you use carrot soaks?

Welcome to TFO!! Many people use carrot soaks to help get nutrients into a tortoise/turtle that hasn't been eating due to illness or other issues.

These are also mostly used for babies that just are doing well for one reason or another. Not necessary for a normal healthy tortoise.

they are only to be used for the sick ones. like said above healthy ones don't need it, it's unnecessary
