I decided it was time to upgrade and build a enclosure for my tortoise. After building the walls someone reminded me about cedar wood being potentially toxic. Is it alright to use the cedar as the walls of the enclosure? I keep seeing mixed opinions some say you can and some say you can’t.

I'm not expert on the subject of wood, but I'm thinking the 'no cedar' pertains to bedding, not the wood the structure is made out of. I have lots of scrap lumber, and some of it is cedar and redwood, mostly pine. That's all I use to build my tortoise structures and hides. I think the difference may be that actual lumber, not shavings, is kiln dried and so the aromatic oils are no longer a concern.
