I have an adult female hermann and she has long nails and beak I have had her less then a week and with feeding her on a rough piece of slate I can hear and see it is grinding and she is still eating fine so I know in due time her beak will be under control with out trimming.
Her nails however are my concern I have river rock under the basking light but I'm still not sure if that is enough. I have some branches for her to climb over but I'm looking at adding ceramic tile(s) has any one done this? Do you think it will help?
I would place the tile either outside the two hides I have or even in the large water dish I'm going to add (it is the bottom of a plastic pet carrier has a 1.5" pan to hold water) I figured it would be better traction then the smooth plastic
Thoughts and opinions welcomed
Also side question where is the best spot to place a water dish? Is one spot better then an other? I have a smaller dish that she can just fit in to under the mvb.
