Christmas Tortoises

I just added these cuties to my tortoise family. A early Christmas gift to myself. They are C.B. '08 Leopard tortoises (Geochelone p. babcocki) hatched in November.

These "bargain tortoises" were lower priced ($100 each) because they both have extra scutes (plates). This happens with high incubation temperatures and doesn't harm the tortoises in anyway. However, it does mean these two are most likely females.

They were shipped overnight from Florida to Pennsylvania with heat packs to keep them warm in an insulated foam lined box.

Just asking because I am thinking of doing next day shipping soon....
Have you had good experiences with it? How are those two little ones doing?

Yes, I have both shipped overnight and received packages shipped overnight, always with good results. It's best to have them shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays should there be a delay which is rare.

I received these two yesterday and they are doing very well.
