As some of you may or may not know, TN is in the middle of a drought. It's actually affecting the transportation of some goods due to the Mississippi being historically low. A pond I go to is drying up which exposed some clams. The raccoons have been feasting on most, but I got a good haul. Some species release sperm and egg, some are sexually dimorphic with males having a more long pointed shape. I know some larvae species need to attach to a Gill of a bass or catfish so I'm prepared for that. I'll just see how it goes next summer. 🤞🏾 not an expert just trying it out. May hit up this clam breeder.
