My lil tort is about 2.5 inches.

Had it for about a month and change.

He seemed fine, ate when I got it. And poops on a regular.

At first, one eye would stay closed, so I put a drop of water every other day to help it open up, and its been.fine.

But.this.morning I was examining it, and one nostril is closed

What ointment can I use????

Sounds like your tort may have a respitory infection or at the very least the husbandry is not quite right (may be too dry) but I am leaning towards respitory infection. You will have to take to a vet but I am sure another poster with more experience than me will advise. In the meantime you can soak your tort in warm water and try and loosen up the blockage. Keep your tort warm.

Hi Ty:

JourneyTort has given you good advice. There's no need to look for ointments or external cures. What you need to look for is where you are going wrong in your husbandry.

I don't have a clue how you keep your baby, but my guess is that he's being kept too dry.

Moisten his substrate, make sure he's plenty warm enough and give him a warm soak every day. If his nose doesn't clear up, you can get a magnifying glass and try to see if there's an obstruction. You can pick it out with a straight pin, or small end of a tooth pick, but be very careful. You don't want to injure his nose.
