Can I give this to my little hermy? Or the flowers if nothing else?

I can post pictures of the both if need be. I have a awesome natural supply in the BF's yard ... let me know. (Some place on here i read that the alfalfa has too much protein ... i think it was a different type of tortoise though).

Clover is just fine, but alfalfa does have to much protein for Hermanns tortoises.

now, a dumb question and a picture ...

1. dumb question ... if alfalfa is not that great, I am wondering about that VF tortoise dust by T-Rex I have been using. Main ingredient is alfalfa.
2. pictured is two different things that I assume are clover. Are both okay? Pebble sure likes the purple flowers:D

What are you using the dust for? Is it supposed to be like a vitamin supplement? I think if you feed a nice variety there isn't much need to supplement more than once a week. As to the two clovers, they are both fine for him to eat.

Yep those are clovers. Alfalfa if used as a main food source is way to high in protien. But if used in a supplement and dusted on food infrequently should be OK. You might want to change to a different supplement. for calcium I use pure Calcium carbonate and cuttle bone for my Greeks, or you can get TNT at Carolina Pet supply.
