Hi all. Matteo is a seven-month old Hermann’s. I’m looking for easier ways to keep his substrate humid enough. Right now I’m using ReptiSoil and Eco Earth loose coir substrate, the one with the huge chunks, some of which are bigger than Matteo. Seems he gets poked by pieces too often for my liking.

Would the following combo be good, with or without the Reptisoil as well?

What is your advice regarding the hydroballs for a young Hermann’s?
Thanks, all!

You dont need hydroballs. The coir looks ok, get the bricks, it needs to be soaked to break it down but it breaks down much finer than the big chunks of coco bark

Thank you! I’ll order just the coir.
