I can only imagine what that would look like! I'm glad the little guys live..I read another article about the snowstorms, and was under the impression that they froze to death. Very cool =]
Man I wish I lived in Florida now! I'd definitely be out there collecting ball pythons and iguanas.
It makes me so mad that people just dump their exotics in a foreign eco system. The problems in Florida make me wonder how many stupid owners release their animals in other areas, and we just don't know about it because they die.
Don't believe everything you hear about pythons or iguanas in Florida!
Most were NOT intentionally released by people. Also pythons & boas are not as common as the state would have you believe!
Iguanas though are EVERYWARE!!!!
I hate to say it but many "Shelters" down here don't help our "Exotic" problem.
Some (many) will Take in Iguanas, Parrots & Muscovy ducks. Then they are released AGAIN!
I personally have seen (& reported) an SPCA van that dumped roughly 5+ Muscovy ducks & an uncountable number of Quaker parrots & Pigeons at Holiday Park in western Broward Co. some years ago.
