A nice gentleman reached out to me looking to rehome a russian tort.
I was reluctant, as it was a male, and I have enough males, but his wife is in her third trimester, and he didn't want him going to anyone. So, here's squirt!
He took excellent care of him.He's super heavy and healthy.
He's going to spend the winter in this 40 g, until he can get outdoors in spring. He'll have a large enclosure to himself.I just have to outline the bottom with a visual barrier so he doesn't stress out, and add more substrate tomorrow. The water dish and hide are out of frame.
