He is lovely! Isn't it funny how they all have different tastes? Mine will eat everything around lambs lettuce on his plate and then only eat it if there's nothing else left. Very picky tort!

He's very well-adjusted to just sit in your hand and eat. That just goes to show that lots of human intervention makes them pretty calm and accepting of us. Very cute picture.

Thanks guys, he has always been like this :D the breeder said that he handles them daily as hatchlings so they don't freak out when being picked up :D

I love him to bits! Just like all my pets :D I get up extra early before school so I can feed and bathe him :) I don't know what I will do without him when he hibernates :( anyway I'm not going to hibernate him this year or the next as He's my first tort and he's so little hehe

I don't hibernate Tidgy, either.
It's usually warm enough, she's still young and I would miss her too much.

I know right, also I think I'd worry too much and be checking the temperature every 2 seconds lol also hibernating seems a very complicated procedure, I read so many horror stories of it :(

Hello, but you got the name wrong!
Type @ and then Tid and it should come up automatically for you to click on.
i don't think hibernating ( or brumation for torts) is that hard, but I must admit, that I too, am terrified.
Might, just might, try it this year.

Oh lol and yeah, I'm too scared :( that's why I was looking at getting a non hibernating tort but I couldnt provide the outdoor heating over winter. How long do they even hibernate for?

Different species in different environments, different times i think.
As I say, i'm no expert on this.
Must do some more research.

Same, tbh I'm scared to research as I see horror stories of it not done right so that makes me more nervous. Oh we'll, I don't have to worry for a few years yet. How old is Tidgey?
